Retention schedule

• Registered profiles: While the account is active, then deleted on request
• DearlyBooks and stories: While the host account exists, then deleted with the account
• Guest contributions: Kept with the host book until the host deletes the book or account
• Photos and signatures: Deleted with the related book, story, or account
• Analytics events: 13 months
• Auth sessions: Managed by Supabase Auth session lifetime
• Infrastructure backups: Rotated according to hosting provider backups, typically within 30 days

Deletion

Hosts can delete individual DearlyBooks from Manage Book. Account deletion removes owned books, contributed stories attributable to that account, and the auth profile. After deletion, residual copies in encrypted backups age out according to the backup schedule.

Analytics retention

Analytics events are retained for operational reporting and then removed or anonymised. Analytics is collected only after consent. See the Cookie Policy.
