Who we are
DearlyBook helps people collect heartfelt messages, memories, and photos into a digital keepsake book. For privacy questions, contact contact@dearlybook.com.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and authentication details when you sign up.
- DearlyBook content: book details, recipient names, prompts, stories, photos, signatures, and related settings.
- Contributor submissions: messages and media shared through invite links, with or without an account.
- Analytics (only with consent): page views, session identifiers, referrers, UTM tags, approximate device type, and selected product events.
- Support communications: emails you send us.
Why we use data
- Contract: to create and manage DearlyBooks, invite links, and account features.
- Consent: for optional analytics and cookie preferences.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Legal obligations: where retention or disclosure is required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. You can delete your account in Your profile, manage cookies via Cookie preferences, or email contact@dearlybook.com.
Retention
- Analytics events: 13 months
- Account profiles: While the account is active, then deleted on request
- Books and stories: While the host account exists, then deleted with the account
- Media uploads: Deleted with the related book, story, or account

- Supabase: Authentication, database, and file storage
- Lovable / Cloudflare hosting: Application hosting and delivery
- Google Fonts: Font delivery for site typography
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies and local storage keep the product working. Analytics storage is used only after you opt in. Read the Cookie Policy for categories and controls.
Children
DearlyBook is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page.
